A week before the US Presidential Elections, our expert speakers discussed this highly significant election, which is likely to have far-reaching consequences both for the US and the wider world, and which is taking place in particularly challenging times against the backdrop of the global Covid-19 pandemic and the resulting economic crisis, social upheaval over race relations and constitutional challenges.
Among the topics were discussion were: Is the campaign a sign of a new culture war and will this deepen after the Election? What will be the implications of the new US administration after the Election for Germany, for the UK and for EU-US relations? How will the Election result impact politically and economically on the rest of the world, and in particular on the rules based global system?
