The New Europeans team includes: James Beckles, Kate Willoughby, Dr Ruvi Ziegler, Else Kvist, Michal Siewniak, Avilia Zavarella, Roger Casale, Charlotte Gath, Julius Lajtha

assisted by Andy Pye and Richard Newcombe from London 4 Europe and Brendan Donnelly from The Federal Trust

Background

On 25 November 2019  at Pushkin House in London, and again on 10 December 2019 in Brussels (Human Rights Day), New Europeans presented a manifesto with five key “courage calls” or pledges to secure the rights of the 5 million.

The pledges represent a distillation of five years worth of campaigning for the rights of EU citizens in the UK and Britons in Europe during which New Europeans won a number of awards including the Financial Times ‘Future of Britain Award’, the Sheila McKechnie Foundation People’s Choice Award and the Schwarzkopf Foundation Europe Award.

In a special meeting commissioned by London for Europe and the Federal Trust,  theNew Europeans team will present the manifesto as a starting point for a 90 minutes conversation with London for Europe and Federal Trust  members about the key challenges facing EU citizens in the UK and Britons in Europe today.

Format

New Europeans has developed ground-breaking techniques for involving participants online.

The meeting will take the form of a conversational journey or “online train ride”.

You will spend much of the meeting in a breakout room on Zoom with four to five other participants.

Just as though you were on a train journey in a compartment with four or five strangers – you start up a conversation about the rights of citizens post Brexit.

What you find out in these conversations will then be fed back to the plenary.

Our panel of experts will respond to the points raised.

Registration

This event is by registration only,  please register here.

We will then be in contact with further details and briefing material.

We will send you the zoom link one day before the event.
