In this Federal Trust video, Professor Chris Grey argues that relations between the EU and UK would improve significantly under a British government which adopted a less confrontational tone towards the EU. Neither the EU nor the UK would be well served however by a premature reversal of Brexit. Both sides would need to be sure that the UK was rejoining the EU for ever.

Chris Grey is Emeritus Professor of Organization Studies at Royal Holloway, University of London, and was previously a Professor at Cambridge University and Warwick University. He is a Fellow of the Academy of Social Sciences (FAcSS). He studied Economics and Politics at Manchester University, where he also gained a PhD on the regulation of financial services. Professor Grey is the author of “Brexit Unfolded” (2021), and writes a blog in a personal capacity.
